Get Well Soon Masterpiece!!!!!!

Get ready to feast your eyes on the most spectacular Get Well Soon card to ever be made. It has astounded the art and craft critics around the world and I am so proud to be able to share it with you. It is called "Doggy Chocolate" and it was created by my nephew (the next Tim Holtz!) (sorry about Arthur's foot he wanted to get in on the action!) It was created using a selection of doggy stickers an old curtain tassel and a black biro. Inside was decorated too with a selection of kisses and a smartie wrapper........he had eaten them for me which I thought was very thoughtful!

Friday Sketchers Challenge

This is my entry for the Friday Sketchers Challenge Blog pop over and see this weeks sketch and DT cards they are all fabbier than king fabby from fabbyville!
I have used one of my new Penny Black stamps and have coloured it with watercolour pencils. The paper is from the Elsie range and the card is from the bright selection of SU cardstock. "Relax" was die cut using the Tadpole cuttlebug alphabet and the "on your special day" was a rub on I have had in my stash for 4 million years! (slight exaggeration but I have had them ages!) Finally I added some punched out stars.
I have used my card scraps do decorate the inside, nothing fancy but just adds that finishing touch . That's all from me, I hope you like it and I'll be back later to show you my FAVE get well soon card that I forgot to share the other day.

Penny Black "Get Well Soon" Challenge

This one is quite appropriate for me........lol. This weeks Penny Black challenge was to simply make a "Get Well Soon" card using at least one Penny Black product. I have use my new Lazy Days stamp cut out using my nestabilities. The Kraft paper is by Making Memories and the flourish was die cut using a QK flourish die. Finally the "Get Well Soon" greeting was created using my sacred mini doodlebug rub ons.

Is she cuter than cute or what?

This is the other layout from the Monday crop. Sorry I didn't post it yesterday but after going down to Worthing Hospital on Tuesday I was exhausted so slept most of the day. They are trying some different treatments now so hopefully I will be a little better in a few weeks.

This layout is just a simple cut and stick but I think it is kinda cute! I have used the SU "Love" scrapbook kit as before and have added some doodling with my trusty white gel pen. The little girl is a friends daughter, and I think you will all agree she is indeed cuter than cute!

I hope you like it, if you want to come along to the SU crop it is held in West Sussex and you can get all the details from Natalie who runs it.

"Love" Scrapbook Page

I thought that you may like to see this scrapbook page that I done for the local Stampin UP crop. I have used the SU "Love" scrapbook kit. The picture is of one of my best mates and her husband (Obviously.!!!!!) at their Gretna Green wedding in 2007. I do like using the kits as everything coordinates and not having much of a brain at the moment this helps!!!!! I am off to the hospital today so if you could all keep everything crossed for me I would appreciate it! Back tomorrow with the other layout. Mrs W xxx

Mums Birthday Card

After telling you it was Mums birthday a couple of days ago I thought I would show you the card that I made for her. (sorry for the wonky pic not sure what happened there!) I have used my new "Water Lily Skiing" Penny Black stamp and have coloured it with my WCP and added some glitter to highlight the lily, the water and the butterfly. The greeting has been printed off and the flowers are Prima with some gems in the centre. I know it is quite simple but I didn't want to distract from the super cute image. I hope you are all having a nice weekend. and will be back soon xxx

The Pink Elephant Funky Cow

What a combination......this card is for the 1st Pink Elephant challenge. It was to make a card using black, white and pink. This is what I have come up with, it is for a very special friend who I hope doesn't peek at my blog as she won't be getting it till next week! I have used my "Grass Cake" Penny black stamp and some old DCWV black and white papers. The black flowers have been punched out and the pink ones are teeny Primas. The greeting has been printed out onto Stampin Up card and I have finished it all off by adding gems to embellish the flowers. Unusually for me I have also decorated the inside: Just plain and simple really but I must confess that I am really happy with it, I hope you like it too.
Well that's it for me see you tomorrow for a real cute post!!!!!

Saturday Challenge.......Recycling

This weeks challenge over at Saturdays Challenge is set by the fandabbiedozzie Kimmy and it is to recycle something. I have recycled a little chocolate box that I had in a hamper at Christmas. I'm not that happy with it to be honest covering it with the patterned paper was quite straight forward but then I used Bazzill to make the bow and it was too thick really and was a real job to stick together and to attach to the box. I just added a scalloped pink strip of Bazzill, then a green strip and finally some gems. As I finished sticking the gems on the phone rung, I went to answer it and came back and have a sneaky suspicion that Olive had her nose in my gems tray.....what do you recon?
Thankfully I had my camera by my side as I was about to take pics of the finished box......so it was a quick snap then catch her to knock it off. Thank goodness it wasn't up her nose...imagine explaining that to the vet.....Olive the gem sniffer!

"Thank You" ABC Challenge Z

Well I promised a card....and here it is! (not really worth the wait LOL) The ABC challenge this week is sleeping. I don't think I have ever entered an ABC challenge before although I have blog stalked for some time! I thought this would fit the bill. I know it's super simple but it took me nearly a week LOL! It is for a lady who really helped me at Worthing Hospital. I hope she likes it. I have used my new Penny Black "Surprise" stamp that my Gramps brought me as a get well prezzie (well he supplied the dosheroonie!) I have just coloured it and added some glitter accents to the snail, ladybirds and flowers. The paper is by Paper Salon I think? and I have just matted it onto green Bazzill. Finally the "Thank You" is a pebbles rub on. Thank you for looking and for any scrumdiddlyumptious comments that you may decide to leave. x

Super Sledger.........

This is a picture of a picture (does that make sense?)of my little nephew sledging last week. I was gutted that I wasn't well enough to enjoy his first proper snow with him but my Dad took lots of pictures for me to see.

In this one my brother is pulling him along and he was dragging his hands through the snow to make snow balls then he was throwing him at his back......LOL little devil!

I must just tell you his latest.......When he was here last week he asked me if we can have a pet shop together when WE grow up? He then went on to say that it will sell dogs and icing sugar? (he likes making and eating icing when he is cake decorating with Nana) Although no one is allowed to buy the dogs as we will love them too much for them to leave and no one can buy the icing sugar as we are going to eat it all!!!! Do you think I should take his business plan to the Dragons Den I recon we could make millions LOL

Right I'm off to have a lay down, I may even be back with a card tomorrow!

Back in the land of blog living...........

I am finally feeling a little more human and am hopefully on the mend once and for all. (touch wood as I wasn't born all that lucky) No cards from me yet though I'm afraid. I am able to sit and do a little here and there so I'm hoping that I may have some creations to show and tell next week. As you can imagine not much to report from Wonkaville as I haven't really done anything apart from sleep, read and plod downstairs for the occasional visitor. So thought I would share a couple of snow pics that Mr Wonka took last week. Arthur loved every second of our brief snowy spell going mad in it dancing and prancing and even eating it??? Don't panic I did give him the "Don't eat yellow snow" warning! Now little Olive is a different story this is Olives snow experience.........I liken it to Paula Abdul's Opposites Attract.........ie 2 steps forward and 3 steps back........
Bless her she went out the back door looked at us like only really annoyed cats can and came back in till it had melted! Not even out long enough to take a pic! So thought you would like to see her little snowy footprints!
Right that's enough for one day I don't want to over do it! Although I would just like to say thank you again for all your kind messages and cards, I have appreciated each and every one of them.
